Jude Law stars in Johnnie Walker short film
By Amy HopkinsBritish actor Jude Law is to star in a new short film promoting Diageo’s Johnnie Walker Blue Label, entitled The Gentlemen’s Wager.
Jude Law is starring in a new short film promoting Johnnie Walker Blue LabelDirected by Ridley Scott’s son Jake Scott and also starring Italian actor Giancarlo Giannini, the film tells the story of a wager between two men “striving for personal progress through the quest for a truly rare experience”.
Scheduled for global release on 30 July, the film was shot both in the British Virgin Islands in the Caribbean and London.
In the film, Law takes on the role of a man who, despite having it all, uses a wager to strive for something he wants, but can’t buy.
Commenting on his involvement in the film, Law, star of hit films including Alfie and The Talented Mr Ripley, said: “The film is about improvement and progress and this is something I try to do in my work and my everyday life.
“I had to learn new skills shooting this film that combined with the places we visited and shot in, alongside working with Jake and with Giancarlo, made it a truly rare experience.”
