Heaven Hill buys Domaine de Canton liqueur

Heaven Hill Distilleries has acquired Domaine de Canton Ginger Liqueur from Miami group Maurice Cooper et Cie for an undisclosed sum.

Domaine de Canton’s iconic bamboo-shaped bottle will now become a part of Heaven Hill’s portfolio

Described by Heaven Hill as one of “the fastest growing liqueurs in the spirits industry”, Domaine de Canton is a ginger liqueur with eau de vie and Cognac as a base.

Launched in 2007 by Maurice Cooper et Cie, the iconic bamboo-shaped bottle is currently a global brand.

Kentucky-based Heaven Hill has bought the worldwide rights to the brand.

Max L. Shapira, president of Heaven Hill Distilleries, said: “Domaine de Canton French Ginger Liqueur is a unique one of a kind product that is among the fastest growing liqueurs in the spirits industry. This product inspires creativity throughout the cocktail world and has become increasingly popular over the last several years.”

Shapira added that the liqueur will “play a great role” in expanding the group’s existing portfolio, which currently centres around American whiskeys and liqueurs.

Domaine de Canton currently sells in the US for US$34.99 for 750ml.
