Distell launches rare Bisquit XO Rose Gold Cognac

Bisquit Cognac has unveiled a new limited edition XO from just six casks to mark the year the house was founded.

The House of Bisquit Cognac, founded in 1819, has released a rare Bisquit XO Rose Gold Cognac

Just 1,819 decanters of Bisquit XO Rose Gold have been created for exclusive launch in global travel retail from September 2014.

The expression, which is distilled slower than usual for an extra hour on average, is described as having an aroma of mahogany, sandalwood, tobacco and cocoa, with notes of candied orange, apricot, prune and spiced on the palate.

Denis Lahouratate, maître de chai of Bisquit Cognac, said the expression’s notable rose-gold colour and aroma were the result of the house’s slower distillation process.

“It’s a pleasure to share Bisquit XO Rose Gold with connoisseurs who take the time to savour and appreciate the refined detail and uniqueness of this limited edition,” he said.

Bisquit Cognac Rose Gold is presented in a hand-painted and decorated decanter housed in a gift box that is individually numbered.
