Bartenders invited to enter 2014 Auchentoshan Switch

The 2014 Auchentoshan Switch cocktail competition is now accepting entries from bartenders seeking an overseas guest shift at one of the world’s best bars.

Aidan Bowie was last year’s Auchentoshan Switch UK winner, who went on to spend two weeks at The Dead Rabbit in New York

Now in its third year, Auchentoshan Switch gives entrants from Europe and the US the chance to “switch” continents for two weeks to work in a bar in New York or London.

This year’s London venue will be Mr. Fogg’s, while the US venue is yet to be announced.

The competition is open for entries from European and US bartenders until 19 August, after which a list of semi-finalists will be drawn up and invited to attend regional heats in September and October. The grand finalists will be chosen to participate in one last round to be held in London on 30 October.
