Bacardi appoints two emerging markets presidents

Bacardi has appointed two new regional presidents to drive the premiumisation of spirits in two key emerging regions.

Jon Grey, previously president of Middle East and Africa, has been appointed president of Asia Pacific as a replacement for Siddik Tetik, who recently announced his resignation.

Grey, who has been with Bacardi since 2005, has also served as senior vice president of global operations.

Following his appointment, Grey will relocate to Hong Kong, pending regulatory approvals.

In his place, Mahesh Madhavan has been appointed president of Middle East & Africa, based in Dubai and the UAE.

Previously managing director of the region, Madhavan will be responsible for “connecting the iconic brands in the Bacardi portfolio with consumers”.

Both regional presidents will report to interim CEO Michael J. Dolan.

“These internal appointments showcase the seasoned leadership currentlywithin Bacardi and further demonstrate the Company’s ability to nurture andgrow talented leaders,” said Dolan.

“These two emerging businesses are critical to the continued growth of Bacardi. I have full confidence in the ability and expertise of Jon and Mahesh to continue to drive our business and the premiumisation of spirits in these markets.”
