Rosewood bartender wins 2014 Galvin Cup

Adam Khalil Lahham from Scarfe’s Bar at The Rosewood Hotel in London has been named the winner of the 2014 Galvin Cup.

Adam Khalil Lahham has won the 2014 Galvin Cup with his drink, Cargo Cocktail

The annual competition, held this year at Steam and Rye in London, saw 30 competitors gather for the chance to win the prestigious title and £1,000 prize money.

Each competitor was required to create a classic Blood and Sand cocktail using Bowmore 15 Year Old, as well as a signature drink of their choice, also featuring Bowmore Scotch whisky.

Lahham’s signature drink, the Cargo Cocktail, impressed judges with its use of homemade pineapple shrub, Cocchi Americano, Bowmore 15 Darkest and Yuzu juice.

In second place was Sebastien Kasyna from Coq d’Argent while Michal Buben from NinetyEight Bar came in third.

The competition is organised by Chris Galvin and Fred Sirieix of Galvin at Windows as well as the United Kingdom Bartenders’ Guild (UKBG).

20ml Homemade pineapple shrub
20ml Cocchi Americano
