Rhuby Pink Your Drink seeks female entries

The 2014 Rhuby Pink Your Drink cocktail competition is now seeking entries from female bartenders.

Ruby Pink Your Drink, a cocktail competition launched to raise awareness of breast cancer, is seeking entries

The annual competition, now in its third year, seeks to raise awareness of the Pink Ribbon and breast cancer, as well as the role women play in the drinks industry.

This year’s competition will hold three finals at Callooh Callay in London (6 October), Dead Rabbit Grocery & Grog in New York (12 October), and Magic Bar in Stockholm (29 October).

Contestants will be required to create three drinks: a classic cocktail, an original creation and a signature Rhuby drink made using the rhubarb liqueur.

The winner from each round will win a trip to Sweden to see how Rhuby liqueur is made. The competition will be judged by Gary Regan, Simon Ford, Ivy Mix and Jolene Cadwell, among others.

The closing date for submissions is 1 September, all of which can be made via the Rhuby website at www.rhuby.se.

Those not participating in the competition can also get involved with Pink Your Drink and help support breast cancer awareness by taking part in the Pink the Bar and Pink the Menu concepts during the month of October.
