Rémy Cointreau finally appoints new CEO

Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet will take the helm as CEO of Remy Cointreau in SeptemberThe French drinks group has now appointed Valérie Chapoulaud-Floquet as CEO, who will step into the position in mid-September.
Chapoulaud-Floquet spent 20 years with L’Oreal Group, most recently heading the luxury products division at the group’s US office. She subsequently worked with Louis Vuitton since 2008, where she was most recently president and CEO of the Americas.
François Hériard Dubreuil, chairman of Rémy Cointreau, said Chapoulaud-Floquet’s appointment “marks a new phase in the development and ambitions of the Rémy Cointreau Group”.
“Valérie has demonstrated her outstanding leadership qualities through a largely international career within highly renowned companies,” he added. “We are delighted that she is joining us at the helm of the Rémy Cointreau group: her keen understanding of the brand, her knowledge of the luxury sector, and her well known temperament and charisma are all assets which will enable her to perform her role to the full.”
Pflanz was appointed CEO in September 2013, but left the position in January 2014 citing “personal reasons” for his departure.
Dubreuil has assumed the role of interim CEO in the meantime.
