Entries now open for Bacardi Legacy 2015

Bacardi is now accepting entries for the sixth annual Bacardi Legacy Cocktail Competition (BLCC) 2015.

Tom Walker, of The American Bar at The Savoy, was crowned winner of the 2014 Bacardi Legacy Global Cocktail Competition

Bartenders are challenged to create a cocktail that can “stand the test of time” by developing a modern classic, such as the Bacardi Mojito and Bacardi Daiquiri.

The 2014 competition was won by Tom Walker, bartender at The American Bar at The Savoy in London.

“This competition is a great platform for bartenders to create their very own legacy, and create a cocktail that will be recognised globally,” said Shervene Shahbazkhani, Bacardi UK brand ambassador.

Three bartenders from each country will be selected from the national final to travel to Mexico and visit the Bacardi distillery, visit the family archive in Miami, before commencing a six month campaign to promote their legacy cocktail.

Each winner will go head-to-head against other Bacardi Legacy winners from around the world at the Bacardi Legacy Global Final in May 2015, as well as travel to Tales of the Cocktail 2015.

Registration for Bacardi Legacy closes on 31 July 2014.
