Diageo is down to four cruise line bartenders in its search for a global travel representative to compete in the final of its 2014 World Class cocktail competition.

Diageo’s 2014 World Class Cruise competition is doen to the final four bartenders

Four bartenders from four cruise lines have been chosen to represent the world of travel bartending at the prestigious competition.

They are Carlos F Lintag from Princess Cruises, Shekhar Grover from Royal Caribbean International, Agus Gandu Advana from Celebrity Cruises and O’Neil Anant James Pandit from Norwegian Cruise Line.

The bartenders will compete once more in a global travel semi-final in Miami on 12 June, before just one takes a place at the Diageo Reserve World Class competition in London.

Mario Seijo, World Class global winner for Latin America & Caribbean 2013, said: He said: “World Class serves to elevate the craft of the cruise line bartender, unlocking amazing on-board fine-drinking experiences for passengers by investing in the industry and working with cruise line partners.

“In order to impress the judges, these semi-finalists will need to put everything they learned and the flair they have developed, into creating show-stopping high-end cocktails, using some of the world’s leading portfolio of fine spirits: the Diageo Reserve Brands portfolio.”

The global travel competition saw over 5,500 entries this year from four cruise lines, up from the 400 who entered from just two lines last year.
