World’s most expensive cocktails in luxury tour

Wealthy drinks enthusiasts have the opportunity to sample some of the world’s most expensive cocktails and spirits as part of a new luxury travel tour costing US$1.27 million (£750,000).

UK-based Holidayplease has created the tour, called the Ultimate Drink Connoisseurs’ Holiday, which takes guests to some of the most exclusive restaurants and bars in the world.

Exclusive spirits available to sample during the tour include the world’s most expensive rum, Legacy by Angostura, costing £12,400; The Dalmore Trinitas, one of the world’s most expensive whisky, costing £100,000; and one of the world’s oldest Tequila’s, the Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario Tequila, costing £400.

Cocktails available during the tour include the Salvatore’s Legacy, a mix created by revered bartender Salvatore Calabrese which contains 1788 Clos de Griffier Vieux Cognac.

The world’s most expensive cocktail, the Winston Cocktail, containing a shot of 1858 Croizet Cognac worth £99000 a bottle, will be available from the Crown Casino Club in Melbourne during the holiday.

Guests can try the £13,000 Ono Cocktail in Las Vegas and a diamond-containing Martini in New York costing £12,000.

They will also be taken on ours of The Dalmore distillery, the Grey Goose factory in Cognac.

The tour will stop off at luxury locations in London, Frankfurt, Bordeaux, Lyon, Monaco, Dubai. Singapore, Melbourne, Las Vegas, and New York.
