Tomatin Scotch releases 14YO and 1988 Vintage

Described as “soft and smooth”, the 14-year-old whisky has spent 13 years aging in Bourbon casks and a further one year finishing in Portuguese port pipes which held Tawny port for between 30 and 40 years.
The 1988 Vintage is a vatting of ex-Bourbon and ex-port casks which will be released in batches of 2,500.
“In recent years we have really started to make our mark in the single malt market with recognition for the high quality whisky on offer from the Tomatin Distillery,” said Stephen Bremner, sales director for Tomatin.
“I am confident these two new expressions will sit nicely within the range and, most importantly, will be enjoyed by our customers.”
The new expressions join no-age-statement Tomatin Legacy (£25.99) Tomatin 12-year-old (£31.99), 15-year-old (£42.99) and 18-year-old (£53.99) in the brand’s core portfolio.
Tomatin 1988 Vintage is bottled at 46% abv and is priced £159.99, while Tomatin 14 Year Old Port Wood Finish is also bottled at 46% abv and carries an RRP of £48.99.
The distillery recently released the first limited edition bottling of its Cù Bòcan whisky brand.
