Odessa Vodka and Squires Gin get UK makeover

Odessa Vodka and Squires London Dry Gin are being re-launched in the UK with new packaging, following their purchase by International Wine Services last year.

Odessa Vodka and Squires Gin are now available in their new-look packaging in the UK

Squires Gin, which dates back to the 1960s and is thought to be named after Sir Thomas Pope of Dorset, now features imagery of the gin’s botanicals on the bottle alongside the squire himself who featured prominently on the previous label design.

Odessa meanwhile, a “Ukranian-style” vodka that is triple filtered, no features a bold black logo and more contemporary label design to give the brand more shelf stand-out and a premium positioning as a house vodka.

Shaun Goode, commercial director at IWS, said: “We know that many of our customers are looking for great looking and tasting house vodka and gin, but also want to be able to maximise their margin opportunity. The addition of these brands is a natural progression for us, building on our strategy of providing great quality accessible brands to the on-trade.”

The brands were acquired by parent company C&C Group in 2013 as part of a portfolio of wine and spirits.

A trading division of C&C Group, IWS also distributes and markets a range of wine brands, including Oliver & Greg’s, Moondarra, Cape Promise and Trulli.
