Devotion Vodka “becomes first to print gluten-free” on bottles

Devotion Vodka claims to have become the first vodka brand to print the words “gluten-free” and “no added sugar” on its bottles.

Devotion Vodka has become the first vodka brand to print “gluten-free” and “sugarfree” on its label

The US-based flavoured vodka brand has been granted approval by the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau (TTB) to print the words on its labels, a feat considered a “breakthrough milestone” by the company.

Drew Adelman, CEO of Devotion Vodka, said: “As the popularity of gluten-free and sugar-free products continues to surge, the ability to print ‘Gluten-Free’ on the bottle – a first in the vodka category – is a major point of differentiation for a small company competing with the marketing muscle of global brands. Approval from the TTB truly validates our product and our growth strategy.”

Off the back of the TTB ruling, Devotion Vodka has revealed plans to expand its distribution to all 50 US States from early 2014.

Launched in 2009 by nightlife and fitness fanatic Adelman, Devotion Vodka is available in five fruit flavours including Wild Cherry, Coconut, Blood Orange, Black and Blue, and The Perfect Cosmo.

However, in April this year Blue Ice Vodka, a US potato vodka produced at Distilled Resources in Rigby, Idaho, was given a “Gluten Free” COLA approval by the TTB.
