Bill Murray sings praises of Slovenia Vodka
By Amy HopkinsHollywood actor Bill Murray, who became an investor in Slovenia Vodka earlier this year, has described the brand as having the power to “make you kind of sweet”.
Bill Murray joined Mikhail Baryshnikov in becoming an investor and ambassador for Slovenia Vodka earlier this yearSpeaking to Esquire magazine, the Ghostbusters star recounted the virtues of Slovenia Vodka, for which he and Russian dancer Mikhail Baryshnikov are investors and spokesmen.
He told the publication: “Different vodkas have different effects. Some make you feel a little poly-lingual […] Some make you feel like lifting kettle bells. There’s something about the taste of this vodka that takes the bad taste our of your mouth.
“I have a quieter voice when I drink it. I drink gin, and once, when drinking gin, I made a large man cry. Not with this [Slovenia Vodka]. This makes you kind of sweet.”
Since becoming investors and ambassadors of the brand earlier this year, Murray and Baryshnikov have pushed Slovenia Vodka into the mainstream through promotions and a TV advertisement which carries the tagline “no words necessary”.
Murray is not the first Ghostbusters star to move into vodka – the film’s co-star Dan Akroyd created his own brand, Crystal Head Vodka, last year.
