Wemyss Malts unveils its largest whisky collection

Boutique spirits company Wemyss Malts has released its largest parcel of single cask single malt Scotch whiskies to date.

A total of 12 casks covering five whisky regions, including Islay, Speyside, the Highlands, the Lowlands, and Campbeltown, are now available to buy from selected retailers in the UK, EU, and key Asian markets.

The malts included in the collection have been selected by the Wemyss tasting panel and are named after their taste and aroma.

Highlands malts include the 1997 Toffee Glaze and the 1989 Brandy Casket; Lowlands malts include the 1998 Tarte au Citron; Islay releases include the 1997 A Peaty Punch and 1991 Seaweed on the Rocks; Campbeltown produced the 1991 Merchant’s Mahogany Chest; and Speyside produced the 1997 Citrus Burst, 1992 Liquorice Spiral, 1992 Coconut and Sandalwood, 1998 Pastille Bouquet, 1991 Sweet Mint Infusion, and 1995 Eastern Promise.

“This is the largest release of single casks since the company started eight years ago,” said Wemyss Malts founder and managing director William Wemyss.

“We continue to work with some more established whisky markets like France, Germany, the UK, and Taiwan, but are also finding demand from new markets like China and Mexico.”

Limited bottles of the malts are now available at RRPs which range between £60 and £105.
