Red Stag launches Hardcore Cider flavour Bourbon
By Amy HopkinsBeam Inc has expanded its flavoured Bourbon portfolio with the release of Red Stag Hardcore Cider.
Red Stag Hardcore Cider is one of the latest innovations in the flavoured Bourbon category
The new release, which is accompanied by the tagline “a different breed of Bourbon”, is infused with natural flavours of apple cider and vanilla to target “those who haven’t considered Bourbon before”.
Red Stag Hardcore Cider joins Red Stag Black Cherry, Spiced Cinnamon and Honey Tea in the brand’s flavoured portfolio.
“Since its history-making introduction in 2009, Red Stag has helped fuel rapid growth of flavour innovation in the category,” said Chris Bauder, general manager of whiskies at Beam Inc.
“We’re excited to extend our flavour leadership with the Red Stag line, which has seen double-digit growth every year, and are confident Red Stag Hardcore Cider is the perfect, versatile flavour addition for the fall season.”
Beam is promoting the new bottling as a spirit to be enjoyed straight, on the rocks, mixed, or as an autumnal cocktail base.
The new release marks one of the latest innovations in the booming flavoured spirits market, following the recent launch of Knob Creek Smoked Maple Bourbon, Paddy Irish Whiskey BeeSting and Devil’s Apple, and Smirnoff Wild Honey and Cinna-Sugar Twist.
Bottled at 80-proof, Red Stag Hardcore Cider is now available across the US at an RRP of US$17.99.
