Jack Daniel’s No.1 hits US shelves

The Jack Daniels Distillery has announced that its limited edition Master Distiller No.1 bottle, which pays homage to the brand’s founder, will roll out across the US this autumn.

Jack Daniel’s No.1 is part of a limited edition series which honours each of the seven Jack Daniel’s master distillers

Master Distiller No.1 was previously only available in domestic travel retail and outlets in Tennessee.

The bottle – which pays tribute to the brand’s founder and first master distiller, Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel – is the first in a new limited edition series that recognises the seven men who have served in the position of master distiller since the distillery began making whisky nearly 150 years ago.

“Throughout the history of Jack Daniel’s there have been seven master distillers,” said Phil Epps, group brand director for Jack Daniel’s. They have all been dedicated to the craft of good whiskey making and following Mr Jack’s guiding words of ‘every day we make it, we’ll make it the best we can.’

“We can’t think of a better way to honour them than with this collectible expression of the brand that not only contains great Tennessee whiskey, but the stories behind the men who’ve made Jack Daniel’s what it is today.”

Each bottle in the collection is contained in a gift box depicting the honoured master distiller and will be numbered according to the chronology of their tenure.

The box will also include a QR code allowing consumers to download a video tribute for the featured distillers, who are: Jasper Newton “Jack” Daniel, Jess Motlow, Lem Tolley, Jess Gamble, Frank Bobo, Jimmy Bedford, and Jeff Arnett.
