Thompson’s seeks travel retail distribution

Eaux-de-vie specialist Thompson’s is seeking an operator that can handle the global distribution of its portfolio in duty free and travel retail.

Thompson’s is looking for a travel retail operator to distribute its range of eaux-de-vie, brandy and vodka

The group, founded by “An Englishman in Bordeaux” Simon Thompson, is seeking to make its mark in travel retail through a single operator.

“I’m looking for a partner that understands the unique DNA of the brand and sees Thompson’s potential as a multi-faceted concept,” Thompson explained.

Thompson’s is seeking an operator to take on its entire portfolio of products, which includes grape vodka, single distillery Bordelais brandy, 30-year-old and 25-year-old Fine Bordeaux as well as a 1979 vintage and 1986 vintage Fine Bordeaux.

In the meantime, Thompson’s is planning on launching a new Bordelais Gin by the end of the year, as well as a 1996 vintage Isle of Arran whisky finished in Sauternes casks in early 2014.

Thompson’s range of spirits are currently distributed locally in the Bordeaux area, as well as in Paris, Poland, Belgium and Germany. Thompson is also looking for a “strategic partnership” with a distributor in the UK and the US.
