La Part des Anges Cognac auction raises €175,000
A jeroboam of Rémy Martin Louis XIII sold for €32,000 at the La Part des Anges charity auction in Cognac this month, helping to raise over €175,000 in total.

The eighth annual La Part des Anges auction of rare and supreme Cognacs was held at the Chateau de Brillac near Cognac in Foussignac on 19 September to raise money for the French Red Cross and local charity L’Arche à Cognac.
The highest bid of the evening was for the Rémy Martin Louis XIII Jeroboam from spirits collector Mahesh Patel, helping the event to become the most successful La Part des Anges so far.
The second-highest successful bid of the evening was for a litre bottle of Hennessy Part des Anges 2013 Carafe 1900, for €20,000.
Also among the lots sold were Cognac Hardy Le Printemps (€13,000), Hine’s new 250 decanter (€12,000), Martell’s The Cellar Master Selection (€11,000), and one of only two Prince Hubert de Polignac Knight Trunks created (€10,000).
In all, 26 rare bottles of Cognac plus a work of art by artist Julien Drevelle were sold by auctioneer Vincent Gérard-Tasset.
