The finalists of the Gin Mare Mediterranean Inspirations competition made their final presentations in the glorious Ibiza sunshineThe final of the global competition takes place at the stunning Gin Mare Villa in Ibiza, Spain, with bartenders from all across the world battling for the grand prize of €4,500, although all those taking part already felt like winners the moment they arrived at the villa.
Used to communicate Gin Mare’s brand values of the Mediterranean lifestyle, gastronomy, climate and feeling of escape, the villa was the setting for a world class cocktail competition featuring eight bartenders from the likes of the UK, Australia, Portugal, Spain, Italy, France, Germany and Switzerland.
Amanda Boucher from Candelaria in Paris was named the overall winner, with Luca Vettali from Italy and Juanjo Saber from Spain in second and third place respectively.

The final of the Gin Mare Mediterranean Inspirations cocktail competition has been held at the luxurious and beautiful Gin Mare Villa in Ibiza for the past three years. With its infinity pool, white-washed walls, and serene atmosphere, the villa is the perfect setting for the brand to communicate Gin Mare’s values to its visitors.

Spain’s Juanjo Saber used toy dolls in a beach scene as a garnish for his Mare Nostrum cocktail Seaside Crusta, featuring orange curaçao, Inedit beer syrup, sea water and ouzu perfume and a rosemary sugar crusta.
Amanda Boucher from Candelaria in Paris impressed the judges and consumers with her simple gin and tonic featuring black pepper essential oil, and a garnish of red pepper.

Amanda Boucher was named the overall winner at the competition, becoming the second female in two years to win the prize. Hailing from Minnesota but representing Candelaria in Paris, Boucher won the grand prize of €4,500, and a job as brand ambassador for Gin Mare for four events.
