Glenfiddich searches for next Malt Mastermind
Glenfiddich’s Malt Mastermind is returning for a fourth year and seeking entries from the UK’s knowledgeable bartenders.

Candidates entering will be required to fill in an online questionnaire before 11 October, after which six finalists will be chosen to compete in a live final held at the Glenfiddich Distillery in Dufftown, Scotland.
They will be battling for the prize of a VIP trip back to the Glenfiddich Distillery, where they will taste rare and exclusive expressions, plus £1,000 in cash and a place on the 2014 Malt Mastermind judging panel.
“The competition is now in its fourth year and the accolade of being named the Glenfiddich Malt Mastermind carries more respect and admiration among the trade than ever before,” said Jamie Milne, global brand ambassador for Glenfiddich. “Previous winners have gone on to work for some of the best bars in the UK, and we’re expecting a high standard of candidates again this year.”
Last year’s winner was Lee Potter Cavanagh from Mark’s Bar at HIX in London.
This year’s final will be held on 28 October 2013, when the finalists will be required to create two serves: a twist on a classic Rob Roy, and an innovative, unique serve made using Glenfiddich 12, 15 or 18 Year Old.
