Diageo’s former Scotland MD quits post

Bryan Donaghey has “severed his employment” with drinks giant DiageoBryan Donaghey, Diageo’s former managing director for Scotland, has parted company with the drinks giant after recently moving to a new role as strategy supply director.
The company has undergone a widespread process of restructuring, announcing in March its plans to cut 80 jobs within its Scottish manufacturing operations, part of a wider attempt to save £60 million a year.
Under the scheme, Diageo’s operations in Scotland merged into an international supply centre in Edinburgh.
Diageo said of Donaghey’s departure: “Bryan Donaghey served Diageo with great distinction throughout his time with the business, particularly leading our Europe supply manufacturing business based in Scotland.
“Bryan has severed his employment with Diageo and it is not appropriate to comment any further, but we wish him the very best for the future.”
Donaghey played a significant role in Diageo’s £9.5 million expansion of its Dailuaine distillery in Speyside.
