Cruzan Rum unveils aged Distiller’s Collection

Cruzan Rum has launched a collection of three super-premium aged rums under its The Don’t Hurry marketing campaign.

The Distiller’s Collection features an aged super-premium light rum, dark rum and single barrel rum

The Cruzan Distiller’s Collection includes the Cruzan Estate Diamond Dark Rum, Cruzan Estate Diamond Light Rum and the Cruzan Single Barrel Rum, all aged between five and 12 years.

“I’m thrilled for Cruzan fans to experience our Distiller’s Collection,” said Gary Nelthropp, president and master distiller of Cruzan Rum. “We take great pride in the craftsmanship of our aged rums, and the Cruzan Distiller’s Collection offers consumers the opportunity to enjoy some of my family’s favourite expressions.”

The light rum bottling is said to have “subtle vanilla and oak cask flavours, while the dark rum expression is said to have a more “complex flavour of barrel-aged rum”.

The Cruzan Single Barrel Rum uses a blend of vintage rums that have been aged for up to 12 years in new American oak barrels.

Brand owners Beam Inc launched The Don’t Hurry campaign in May which introduces consumers to the laid-back fictional island of The Don’t Hurry, where Cruzan Rum is essential to the relaxed lifestyle of its inhabitants.

All three products in the Distiller’s Collection – said to “stay true to the spirit of The Don’t Hurry” – are now available across the US. Both light and dark rum 750ml bottlings carry an RRP of US$19.99, while the single barrel 750ml bottling comes with an RRP of US$29.99.
