BBR launches Blue Hanger travel retail exclusive
Berry Bros & Rudd Spirits has released a limited edition bottling of its Blue Hanger blended Scotch whisky exclusively in US travel retail.
Only 3,088 bottles of Blue Hanger 7 will be available to buy in the USLimited to only 3,088 bottles, Blue Hanger 7 is a blend of Bruichladdich 1990, Bruichladdich 1992, peated Bruichladdich Moine 2006, and Miltonduff 1997.
The blended malt is named after a historic customer of Berry Bro’s, William ‘Blue’ Hanger, the Third Lord Coleraine whose nickname derives from his preferred colour of clothing.
Doug McIvor, spirits manager at Berry Bros & Rudd, said: “This exceptional and very limited blended malt is just as impeccably turned out as William ‘Blue’ Hanger himself, with bewitching aromas of orange peel, melon skin, vanilla and peat smoke.
“The palate is luscious and complex, building with sweet fruity intensity and finishing with lingering peat smoke and spicy edge.”
Bottled at 45.6% abv, Blue Hanger is now available in US travel retail at an RRP of US$99.99.
