World’s first Absolut Vodka store opens

Absolut Vodka has opened its first flagship store at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) in a bid to “create the ultimate brand experience”.

The new store features a bar, lounge, cocktail area. and digital displays

The store forms part of the airport’s new shopping hub, run by Malaysian Duty Free operator Eraman Duty Free, and is the only exclusive spirits brand shop in the vicinity.

Paul Duffy, CEO of The Absolut Company, said: “This is the first brand store that Absolut has ever opened, so it is great and historical moment for us. With the Absolut brand store in Kuala Lumpur International Airport, we are creating the ultimate brand experience for our traveling consumers.”

At 45 square metres, the store features a bespoke bar and lounge area with a ‘Drinkspiration’ stand offering cocktails to travelers, as well as various digital displays.

“We are thrilled to have the opportunity to execute this pioneering endeavour in Kuala Lumpur International Airport,” said Con Constandis, managing director of Pernod Ricard Asia Travel Retail. “Eraman has been a great partner for breaking boundaries in the duty free and travel retail market.

“Our conviction is that this will be a transformative experiment for the Absolut brand, while enhancing the traveling experience for our consumers.”

The new opening is a collaboration between The Absolut Company, Perond Ricard Asia Travel Retail and Eraman Duty Free.
