Brown-Forman releases 2013 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon

Brown-Forman is releasing the 12^th annual edition of Old Forester Bourbon to commemorate the birthday of company founder George Garvin Brown.

The 2013 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon has been created from a single day of production and bottled at 48.5% abv by current master distiller Chris Morris in a decanter-style glass bottle.

“This year’s batch was selected for its robust presentation of flavours which showcase vanilla bean and caramelised oak paired with deep layers of warming spices and a delicate nut character,” said Morris. “A rich aroma and a long, warm finish make this yet another must-have release.”

The only Bourbon to be produced by the same distiller before, during and after Prohibition, Old Forester is vintage dated and features Brown’s signature.

The 2013 Old Forester Birthday Bourbon will be available in the US from mid-August with an RRP of US$54.99.
