Final 16 bartenders named at Diageo World Class

The 16 bartenders through to the semi-finals of the Diageo World Class competition have been named, ahead of the cocktail competition’s final tomorrow.

The bartenders rejoice upon hearing who’s through to the Diageo World Class semi-finals

The bartenders, who hail from all across the globe, are competing for the coveted title on board a cruise ship in the Mediterranean.

Each has been tasked with completing a series of challenges before a panel of esteemed judges including Salvatore Calabrese, Peter Dorelli and Gary Regan.

They are joined by 600 of the world’s finest bartenders, including last year’s winner Tim Philips, and spirits industry names as the Azamara Journey ship travels on a five-day cruise along the French Riviera to St. Tropez and Ibiza and ending in the Catalan capital of Barcelona.

The winner of the competition will be announced tomorrow, after today’s 16 are whittled down to just eight finalists.
