Ballantine’s releases Miltonduff-led 17YO edition

Ballantines 17-year-old Miltonduff is available for US$75Created from over 40 malt and grain whiskies sourced from various distilleries across Scotland, Ballantine’s 17 Year Old Signature Distillery Miltonduff Edition is the latest addition to the brand’s Signature Distillery series.
Master blender Sandy Hyslop has designed the whisky to showcase the unique influence of one of the major malts that make up the Ballantine’s 17-year-old blend, such as Scapa, Glenburgie and Miltonduff, by increasing its contribution to the overall product.
Chivas Brothers describes the contribution of the Miltonduff whisky as delivering cinnamon spiced notes that balances the fruity sweetness flavours of the other malts.
“The Miltonduff edition is an excellent addition to any whisky connoisseur’s collection,” explained Peter Moore, Ballantine’s international brand director. “It’s ideal for those looking to explore Ballantine’s 17 Year Old on a depper level as it offers whisky drinkers a unique insight into the role Miltonduff malt plays in the much revered Ballantine’s 17 Year Old blend.”
The Miltonduff edition will be a limited release in the brand’s core markets at a retail price of US$75.
