Bushmills Live festival tickets drawn this St. Patrick’s Day
Bushmills claims its annual festival at the Old Bushmills Distillery in Belfast is one of the most unique in Britain, having announced Of Monsters and Men as its headline act this year.
Bushmills Live will return to Belfast in 2013
Held at the Diageo-owned distillery on 19-20 June, Bushmills Live will see the return of music acts Snow Patrol, The Staves and actor-turned-DJ Elijah Wood amongst others.
Earlier this year the owner of Hyde Park’s British Summer Time in London claimed some of the UK’s major music events have “merged into one in terms of look and feel and service”.
Bushmills has hit back by claiming its own festival – the only one to be held in an Irish whiskey distillery – is different, with only 500 tickets available to win, not buy.
Ragnar Þórhallsson, singer with Of Monsters and Men, said: “Playing a show in such a unique location, around the centuries-old warehouses and whiskey barrels, to such an intimate audience, is an experience we are very excited about. It’s going to make our first gig in Northern Ireland a memorable one, and not just for us, for the fans too, we hope.”
Entries to an online draw via the Bushmills Facebook page will open this 17 March, St. Patrick’s Day.
