Chase Extra Dry Gin gets UK release
By Becky PaskinChase Distillery’s new super-premium gin Williams Great British Extra Dry, has now been launched in the UK.
Williams Great British Extra Dry Gin is now available in the UKThe latest gin release from the Hertfordshire distillery was first launched in Spain earlier this year, but has now reached British shores having achieved a strong start.
Described as the first single estate English gin to be created for 200 years, GB Gin as it is also called, uses Chase Distillery’s classic potato vodka as its base plus an additional 10 botanicals including juniper, cinnamon, nutmeg, ginger, almond, cardamom, coriander, cloves, liquorice and lemon.
At 40% abv, GB Gin is designed to be sipped neat or used in a sweet Martini.
Chase founder William Chase said he believes the expression would succeed in the British market where there is a gin renaissance taking place.
“Bartenders in Britain have fallen in love with gin again,” he said. “Gin was being shunned by a lot of people to its provenance. Historically, it was a cheap product made from poor quality grain that couldn’t be used for anything else. Our success is because we’re a real distiller, not a large company churning out stuff made from low quality ingredients or just simply redistilling neutral gran spirit.”
Williams Great British Extra Dry Gin will be available for £28.
