There are currently eight distilleries and two bottlers on Tasmania and the latest figures show these account for around 80% of Australia’s whisky production.
Sullivan’s Cove French Oak cask HH509, which is produced by the Tasmania Distillery, was recently voted the southern hemisphere’s best whisky by Jim Murray’s 2013 whisky bible.
