Jura launches Standing Stone 30YO whisky

Jura is adding a 30 year-old whisky named Standing Stone to its range – the first vintage expression from the Jura distillery in more than 10 years.

Jura Standing Stone 30 Year Old whisky is the first vintage release from the Jura distillery for over 10 years

Standing Stone, named after the largest of the island’s eight standing stones, will be launched at the beginning of December with a limited allocation for selected global markets.

Priced at £350 for 70cl, the 44% abv whisky has been aged in second fill Oloroso Sherry butts from Gonzalez Byass for 30 years, and is presented in a display case, with a bottle in-filled with copper wax and adorned with a matching metal plaque.

On the nose Standing Stone has notes of dried fruit, candied citrus peel and brown sugar, while its taste consists of tobacco, caramel and spice.
