Gordon’s collaborates with Terence Conran for Ten Green Bottles

Gordon’s gin has enlisted designer Sir Terence Conran to create Ten Green Bottles, an ultra limited edition range retailing for £4,000.

Gordon’s Ten Green Bottles by Sir Terence Conran will be available exclusively from Selfridges

Available exclusively from Selfridges in October, Ten Green Bottles is a limited edition range of 10 Gordon’s gin bottles encased in a hand-stitched cotton bodice, each bearing a different design encapsulating Conran’s world-renowned work.

Designs range from displaying typography ‘used in clever ways’, to the carpentry, joinery and woodwork central to Conran’s furniture making. Each will bear the bottle’s number incorporated within the design.

Just 100 bottles have been produced for the range, with individual 700ml bottles available to buy for £400. Consumers can also buy the full range of 10 for £4000. Each purchase at the Oxford Street department store in London comes with an A3 print of the corresponding design.

Conran, who has hand-signed each bottle himself, said: “This has been a hugely enjoyable project to work on and it’s been a pleasure to collaborate with the team from Gordon’s.

“We’ve enjoyed the process of creating a collection of unique and beautiful bottles that reflect both the quality and diversity of the Gordon’s and Conran brands.

“Good design improves the quality of life and we hope we’ve managed to create something special whilst maintaining the elegant, timeless and instantly recognisable look of one of the world’s favourite and quintessentially British drinks.”

Gordon’s owner Diageo is also releasing a second limited edition Ten Green Bottles range to UK-wide retailers. Ten designs are available, with each having an RRP of £14.99 for 700ml.
