‘Flirty’ Courvoisier Gold blends Moscato with Cognac
Beam’s new ‘flirty’ Courvoisier Gold, a Cognac blended with Moscato wine, has been launched in the US to attract new consumers to the category.
Courvoisier Gold blends Moscato grapes with the brand’s signature Cognac
The 18% abv (36-proof) spirit combines floral, peach and pear notes from French Moscato grapes with Courvoisier’s house Cognac, providing what the brand calls a ‘refreshing and accessible experience’.
Its release, which comes 15 months after the brand launched Courvoisier Rose – a blend of Cognac and French red wine grapes, is expected to help diversify Courvoisier’s portfolio, making it more accessible for new Cognac drinkers.
Megan Frank, director of Courvoisier at Beam, said: “The addition of Courvoisier Gold to our brand portfolio is extremely exciting.
“Moscato is the fastest-growing wine varietal and mixed with Cognac, it provides a unique, smooth taste experience. We believe Courvoisier Gold will not only appeal to the many existing fans of our portfolio, but will also give new consumers a reason to try cognac for the first time.”
Courvoisier Gold is packaged in the brand’s Josephine bottle, and carries an RRP of US$24.99 for 750ml.
