Isle of Arran switches to Indie

Isle of Arran Distillers has changed its UK distributor from Blavod to luxury spirit specialist Indie Brands from the beginning of this month.

Indie Brands will oversee distribution of the Isle of Arran Scotch range in the UK

Following a record year for the Scotch producer, Isle of Arran intends to ramp up its UK distribution in both the on and the off-trade with the new partnership.

“Indie Brands is a new business that is looking to make progress. They share our ambitions for the Arran Malt and backed by Chris (Bowen) and Douglas (Cunningham) they are a great fit for our business,” said Euan Mitchell, managing director of Isle of Arran Distillers. “We would like to thank our previous distributor, Blavod, for all their efforts over the past few years and wish them every success in the future.”

Cunningham, managing director of Indie Brands, said: “I’m delighted that Arran Whisky have entrusted us to help build the success of their brand. The quality of the spirit is outstanding, the international reputation and credentials established, and so there is very considerable potential. We are excited to get started.”
