Free drinks and massages at Midori’s first cocktail garden

The Midori Chi garden will pop-up at The Phene for a limited timeThe Midori Chi Garden is using the outdoor area at Chelsea hotspot The Phene, as they transform it into a stylish cocktail garden themed around Midori’s Japanese provenance.
The garden, which is open 16-30 August, is part of Midori’s “Create a Stir campaign”.
An outdoor bar will be installed in The Phene garden, which will be styled as an authentic Japanese garden, complete with glowing lanterns and hand-cut screens.
On arrival visitors will receive one free Midori Sour – the liqueur’s signature cocktail. There will also be free shoulder and neck massages from 6.30pm – 8.30pm (Thursday to Friday) and 5pm – 7pm (Saturday and Sunday) for guests.
Nick Barker, Midori brand manager, said: “We’re looking forward to welcoming visitors to The Midori Chi Garden this August and hope that they can kick back and relax in the atmosphere we’ve created.
“The garden celebrates Midori’s Japanese heritage and showcases the versatility of the liqueur, reaching a new generation of cocktail lovers looking for a distinctive drink to enjoy with friends in an equally distinctive setting.”
The Midori Chi Garden at The Phene will open from 12noon until 9.30pm on 16-30 August, with free Midori Sour cocktails and massages available during the opening weekend (16-19 August).
A cocktail, the Midori Iced Chi, has been specially created by The Phene’s bar manager, Karolis Silkauskas for the garden bar.

Glass: Tall sling
Ingredients:
25ml Midori
35ml Green tea infused gin
20 ml elderflower cordial
20ml Fresh lime juice
50ml cloudy apple juice
Method:
Shake all ingredients, strain into glass over ice and top with crushed ice. Garnish with an apple fan.
