Disaronno launches BAFTA film series via Facebook with Emilia Fox

Italian liqueur brand Disaronno is running a film series featuring BAFTA winners with British actress Emilia Fox as curator.

Tickets, which cost £5, are available exclusively through the Disaronno Facebook page, which, after opening sales for tickets, received 185 ‘likes’ in a matter of hours.

The selected films will be shown at Picturehouse Cinemas in cities around the UK, stretching from Edinburgh to Brighton, from 11 September to 2 October of this year. Ticket holders will be invited to partake in a branded cocktail Masterclass during the evening, as well as a complimentary Disaronno cocktail.

The first film, 60’s classic The Graduate with Dustin Hoffman, will be shown in Hackney, London, and introduced by Fox. Other films that will be shown are Dr. Strangelove, Dead Poets Society, A Room with a View and Little Miss Sunshine.

This is the second alcohol brand with which Fox has been involved, following on from her “Shall we G&T started?” campaign for Gordon’s gin earlier this year.

The project is the latest in the liqueur’s affiliation with the film world, following on from their support of the Orange British Academy Film Awards in 2012 and headline sponsor of the Rome Film Festival.
