William Grant appoints new European travel retail director
William Grant & Sons has appointed a new director for Europe to its travel retail team.
Andre de Almeida, the new director for travel retail Europe at William Grant
André de Almeida, currently area director for Middle East & Turkey in domestic and duty for Edrington, will join William Grant as director for Europe travel retail later this month.
Almeida, who also resides over Edrington’s duty free business in The Americas and previously for the UK and Ireland, will join William Grant’s Glasgow office on 16 July.
Rita Greenwood, managing director global travel retail at William Grant, said: “We are delighted to announce that André will be joining us later this month to lead the European team. It is an exciting time for William Grant in travel retail as we continue to drive our premiumisation agenda.
“André will have a critical role to play as we seek to reshape the European business and further build our relationships with key global customers.”
Before Edrington, Almeida also worked with Maxxium UK in a variety of roles, including leading the UK Prestige on-trade team and managing the Tesco business.
