Remy Cointreau’s chairman Dominique Heriard Dubreuil is to resign from the company before the end of the year.

Dominique Dubreuil, Remy Cointreau’s chairman, wishes for her position to pass to her brother

Dubreuil, who has been chairman of the family-owned company since 2004, announced her planned departure at Remy’s general shareholders meeting in St. Bartelemy d’Anjou in France yesterday.

She told attendees that she hoped the board would consider passing her position onto her brother Francois Heriard Dubreuil.

“Remy Cointreau’s success is due to its long-term vision and consistent strategy, which is shared bu all employees,” she said. “In line with this spirit, I would be delighted if Francois could provide continuity and strengthen our family’s involvement in the strategic direction of the Remy Cointreau Group and its teams, both in France and internationally.”

Dubreuil has been a director of Remy since 1991.
