Maxxium takes over Cooley UK distribution
By Becky PaskinMaxxium UK is to take over the UK distribution of Cooley Distillery’s Irish whisky brands, Kilbeggan, Tyrconnell, Connemara and Greenore from 2 July.

The group, which handles the distribution for many of Beam’s other products in the UK, will takeover the contract from Eaux de Vie next month.
Stephen Teeling, senior global marketing manager for Cooley, which was bought by Beam in April this year, said: “I would like to thank the team at Eaux de Vie for their hard work.
“They have played a key role in the success of our brands over recent years. Now as part of the Beam portfolio, we are embarking on a new chapter in the history of Cooley Distillery and welcome the partnership with the UK’s leading whisky distributor, Maxxium UK. We look forward to working together to grow the Cooley’s multi award-winning portfolio.”
Maxxium currently handles the UK distribution for Jim Beam, Red Stag, Maker’s Mark and Knob Creek amongst others.
