India meets Scotland in new super premium Scotch
Seven Islands Vintage, an India-inspired single malt Scotch, was unveiled in London last week ahead of a global roll out.
Created by Ryan50 Scotland in “strategic association” with Speyside’s BenRiach Distillery, Seven Islands is inspired by the art and architecture of India and “the seven islands that today make up Mumbai as we know it”.
The brand is owned by leading Indian whisky producer Tilaknagar Industries, which also owns the Mansion House, Senate Royal Whisky and Madira XXX rum brands.
The UK launch event, held at London’s Mint Leaf Restaurant & Bar last week, was the first stage of a global roll out in the “fashion capitals of the world – Mumbai, Milan and Paris”.
It will be marketed in the UK by Ryan50 followed by the introduction of the brand by Tilaknagar Industries Limited in India.
The bottle, now available in the on- and off-trade in the UK has an RRP of £90.
