Glenfarclas gets (slightly) creative
By Dominic RoskrowFamily owned and independent whisky producer Glenfarclas is set to release a rare and special single malt whisky next week.
The company, famed for making high quality malt whisky matured in sherry casks in the Speyside region of Scotland, has in the past it has made a point of not releasing whiskies matured in casks which have previously been used for other spirits, fortified wines or wines.
But next week it is to release a very rare 43 year old single malt which has been matured in a Cognac cask.
Only 150 bottles will be made available in the United Kingdom, and the recommended retail price is £500.
