Launch of The Glengoyne Auld Enemy Dinner

Glengoyne Highland Single Malt whisky is hosting a new sporting dinner celebrating the history of the Calcutta Cup.

The event, called the Glengoyne Auld Enemy Dinner, is to be held on Friday 3 February 2012 – the even of Cup which is the oldest international rugby fixture in the world.

The dinner will be an annual event, held in London and Edinburgh alternately, and always on the eve of the game.

The dinner will be held in Edinburgh’s the Balmoral Hotel. Guests will include rugby greats such as Jim Telfer, Finlay Calder, Brian Moore and Matt Dawson.

In honour of the event Glengoyne is releaseing a limited edition Glengoyne 1990 Single Cask bottling, proceeds of which will go to Help for Heroes and The Bill MacLaren Foundation.

The match on the 4 Feb (the day after the dinner) will be the 129th Calcutta Cup held.
