Licor 43 launches bartender contest

Licor 43 has launched a national campaign giving professional bar tenders the opportunity to experience the sights, sounds, and tastes of Spain this summer at one of five exclusive Fiesta de la Copa 43 events.

The premium Spanish liqueur brand is offering mixologists the chance to expand their knowledge of liqueurs, flex their flavour matching expertise, and learn more about Licor 43 at key UK city locations throughout July and August.  In true Spanish style the events take place at night with 43 exclusive places at each evening event. To win one of the spots, bartenders are being invited to identify Licor 43’s secret ingredients by tasting and nosing the golden liquid.

Jessica Gibbons, Licor 43 brand manager, said: “Licor 43 itself has long been the secret ingredient of many great cocktails in Spain and in recent years has been growing in popularity with bartenders around the world. The recipe of Licor 43 is a closely guarded secret handed down over generations in the Cartegena area of Southern Spain.

“The Fiesta de la Copa 43 events will provide a real taste of Spain with the aim of unlocking the secrets of Licor 43 for UK bartenders whilst having some fun in the process. To top it off, for everyone that attends the events, we are also offering the chance to win a place on an amazing four day, three city tour of Spain’s party destinations”.

For the chance to win one of 43 coveted spaces at a Fiesta de la Copa 43 event, bar staff need to register at www.guessthe43.com and identify 10 ingredients they think are contained within the Licor 43 secret recipe, along with submitting their recipe for the perfect Licor 43 cocktail.

The first 43 submissions with five or more correct entries and the most interesting and well matched Licor 43 cocktail recipes selected by the judging panel will receive an exclusive invite to a Fiesta de la Copa 43 night.

In keeping with Licor 43 tradition, there will be a secret ingredient on the night giving one person from each of the five regional events a VIP taste of España, with a trip to three of Spain’s hottest destinations: Barcelona, Valencia and Ibiza, to experience the brand’s heritage and versatility first-hand.

The regional Fiesta de la Copa 43 events run from 8:30pm until late on the following dates:

All venues are centrally located and will be revealed to the winning applications via email invitation.
