Hi-Spirits takes on Southern Comfort UK distribution

Hi-Spirits has agreed to distribute Sazerac’s recently acquired Southern Comfort and Tuaca brands in the UK.

Sazerac completed its acquisition of Southern Comfort and Tuaca from Brown-Forman last week for US$542.4 million.

Hi-Spirits will take on UK distribution of both spirit brands from 1 April 2016.

“Southern Comfort and Tuaca are both iconic brands, and a great fit with our expanding portfolio,” commented Dan Bolton, managing director of Hi-Spirits.

“With strong consumer followings we are looking forward to building further distribution across the UK on-trade, off-trade and travel retail channels.

“We’re very excited to be working with current and new stockists of Southern Comfort and Tuaca to drive growth.”

Hi-Spirits also distributes brands including Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Fireball and Antica Sambuca.
