Instil Drinks adds five artisan gins to portfolio
By Amy HopkinsAs UK distributor Instil Drinks prepares to “relaunch”, the firm has added five gins to its portfolio, including Eden Mill and Jensen’s Gin.
Instil Drinks will handle UK distribution for Eden Mill and four other artisan gin brandsLast month, the firm revealed plans to add 14 new products to its range, the full portfolio of which will be unveiled at a London event on 1 March.
Instil said it was planning a company “re-launch” after “examining (its) range, listening to customer feedback and making management changes”.
The will now handle five “artisan” gins: Jensen’s Gin, distilled in Bermondsey, London; Rock Rose, created by Dunnet Bay Distillers in North Scotland; NB Gin, a London dry variant produced in North Berwick, Scotland; Eden Mill, a Scottish gin produced at a combined craft brewery and distillery in St Andrews; and Prairie Organic, a gin produced in Minnesota, in the US, using stills powered by waste biomass.
“With the gin revolution going from strength to strength and more and more craft distilleries opening every day, we were truly spoilt for choice when it came to selecting our new line-up,” said Mark Johnson, managing director of Instil Drinks.
“We only picked the highest quality artisan gins, making sure they all had something distinctive to offer our portfolio. From the iconic Bermondsey to Scotland’s most Northern mainland distillery, we have a variety of flavours and styles to tempt our customers.”
The Instil Drinks Company is the spirits arm of Bibendum PLB Group. In 2014, the firm moved from exclusively handling spirits brands, to also distributing beer and cider.
In April last year, the former head of Instil Drinks, Nick Rodgers, launched new UK distribution firm Identity Drinks Brands, focusing “on high quality spirits that are looking for rapid growth in the UK”.
