Teeling marks new distillery with 15yo malt

Teeling is celebrating the opening of its Dublin distillery with The Revival, a 15YO single malt commemorative bottlingDistilled in 1999, The Revival’s liquid was matured exclusively in ex-rum casks and bottled at 46% abv with no chill filtration.
Limited to 10,000 bottles, the celebratory expression is available through The Teeling Whiskey Company’s distillery gift shop, as well as through domestic and international distribution partners.
The Revival is the first release in the “upgraded” Teeling Vintage Reserve Collection, which comprises “very old and rare” Irish single malt whiskeys. Two further expressions, a 24-year-old and a 33-year-old, will follow the limited edition expression in due course.
Jack Teeling, founder of the Teeling Whiskey Company, said: “The opening of our new distillery was a major milestone in the history of Teeling Whiskey. It took three years of planning, hard work and significant capital investment, but now Teeling Whiskey is finally home.
“To mark this occasion, we have selected a very special whiskey to celebrate the Revival of distilling in Dublin. This will be limited to only 10,000 bottles and sold both through our distillery as well as our domestic and international distributors.”
The Revival has an RRP of €100 (£85) and will be available in Ireland from the Teeling distillery shop, the Celtic Whiskey Shop, and independent off-trade licences. It will also be rolled out across markets including the UK, France, Germany, Belgium, Holland, Italy and Australia.
Teeling’s production site became first new distillery in Dublin for 125 years, when it opened its doors in June 2015.
