Martell Cordon Bleu receives packaging revamp
By Melita KielyMartell has recruited London agency Nude Brand Creation to give its Cordon Bleu Cognac a packaging redesign as it celebrates its 300th anniversary.
Martell Cordon Bleu has had a packaging makeover to celebrate the brand’s 300th anniversary this yearNude Brand Creation was tasked with creating a new look to reflect the “luxury nature” of the expression, and offer a “fresh and elegant” presentation.
The firm has reintroduced the two-part label to the new design, and incorporated new Martell visual elements such as the crest and swift.
Edouard Martell’s signature is featured prominently in the centre of the label, and is the work of a hand-lettering artist who designed the typography to emulate the “rich and luxurious side of the prestigious Cognac”.
“Working on Martell Cordon Bleu was like a careful restoration project,” commented Mike Parsonson, partner at Nude Brand Creation.
“We were inspired by the brand’s rich history and wanted to celebrate its ageless elegance.
“What is more, the reference to the historic two-part label and its modern interpretation and unusual shape should provide genuine stand-out on shelf.”
The company has also worked with Martell to revamp the brand’s VSOP packaging.
Martell has embarked on multiple celebrations this year to mark 300 years of operation, including hosting an evening for its 3,200 winegrowers and employees last month.
Actress Diane Kruger was also named Martell ambassador to mark the occasion and multi-sensory pop-ups were opened in Paris’ Charles de Gaulle airport and Hong Kong International Airport.
