Ian Burrell will host the first Rum Experience Week in London

Taking place from 12-18 October, Rum Experience Week will team up with bars, chefs, distillers, brands and rum lovers to create a series of rum-focussed events.

Each event will be hosted by a different brand or partner and will show attendees “new ways to experience rum”, including rum pairings with cigars and chocolate, rum infused cooking classes, a Thames Tiki rum cruise and interactive tastings.

Rum Experience Week will culminate with the start of RumFest on 17-18 October.

“Rum is an incredibly versatile spirit, whether mixed with a cocktail, paired with chocolates or marshmallows, cooking with rum, paired with cigars or simply tasted in neat form,” said Burrell.

“This versatility is something we aim to celebrate during the first ever Rum Experience Week allowing both old and new rum drinkers to experience rums in new and surprising ways with unique tastings, pairings and more.

“We have paired up with some incredible partners and have even more to announce soon, this will be a week of rum never to be forgotten.”

Last year, RumFest hosted the world’s largest ever rum tasting and was entered into the Guinness Book of World Records.
